Gentlejim: For the people who celebrate Thanksgiving, what is your favorite Thanksgiving dinner? Also, are you hosting Thanksgiving at your home?

Thanksgiving is not celebrated in Mexico, not as a general festivity.

However I do remember with great fondness Thanksgiving celebration while being in USA. Great friends from USA that I got to meet there and they were just like family.

Once, we (my whole family at that time) went to sleep at one of our friend’s home, wake up very early in the morning to see and participate in all the preparation for those many, many dishes served.

Besides the Turkey, the pumpkin pie, the pecan pie, the cranberry sauce, etc.. …they were my fav. Now I am not into sweets that much.

Happy Thanksgiving to the ones who celebrate it!

applause

My and my guys thanksgiving dinner went well.Slowcooked a boneless turkey roast in the slowcooker instead of the oven.It was much jucier and tender.

Used the juice from the turkey and made homemade mashed potatoes w/ gravy.Made candied sweet potatoes and biscuits.

This seems to be a good celebration, we don't have it in this part of the world.
