My best date? September 2, 2011. Why? It was the day the blue eyes that had enthralled me in a picture stood before me and,...well,...I was enraptured and captivated,....and am still spellbound to this very day!

crazyblondeone: How awesome! What did you do? What did you see?
We visited a Moonshine place in Gatlinburg where they made moonshine and sold it.My guy tried a small shot of some and got a buzz.
Also while in Gatlinburg we stopped in at Cooter's Place which is named after the guy who played Cooter on the Duke of Hazzard show. Walked around into some of the many shops along the strip.
Then the next day we drove up through the Smoky Mountains then down to Cherokee N Carolina onto the Cherokee Reservation which is open to the public.Looked around there for awhile then started for home.
This time of year there isn't much open down there but we'll probably try again next Spring when more things are open besides the shops.

But we did have fun all the same.
Oh how funny with the moonshine!! I always see people make faces when they take a drink of that stuff. Sounds like it's pretty potent stuff!
The trip sounds like a great time! What wonderful memories you will always have from there.
crazyblondeone: What was your best date ever and why?
I've, uh, been around the block a few times. So I have a few fond memories. One that stands out happened a year and 3 months ago, when I first took GACryptic out to dinner, at Naples restaurant down the street. We've dined at finer (and less fine) restaurants since, but what made that first one special to me was her smile.

The date I will never forget was the first date with my ex. It wasn't romantic, just very funny looking back. He didn't have my phone number and we just mentioned to meet again the next evening in our local. I ask a (male) friend who knew us both to come along, and another guy heard that we were "all" meeting up and turned up that night. First friend couldn't make it, other friend never copped on that we were supposed to be on a "date" and talked all night about farming in New Zealand. When a table was free, he sat in the middle between us, when we said we go home now, he said ok, we all go home... . Thankfully he went to the bathroom and I was very quickly ask for my phone number and we met up in a different place the next time!
