What with all the debates about gun ownership in the US, I've changed my mind. I was against gun ownership, but having watched the Trevor McDonald programme about death row I would want a gun if I lived there.

Yes the programme was an eye opener. I do not think they will get rid of gun ownership just stop the sail of army type guns repeaters if you know what I mean. sometimes we think we are hard done to here but it makes you appreciategrin england a bit.uk

With the internet its so easy
to even make a simple Gun and it
kills.
Its the world we live in.

Morning mate.

Easier to have a discussion hereconversing laugh

Just remember Tony Martin and then think again! He's been in hiding for 10 years.

I am against any form of violence, and my personal opinion is that Americans are paranoid and living in fear. Not a good way to live.j.m.o.

Not just the programme though. I have lots of friends in the US. You cant go for a walk in the countryside without someone being armed, lots of dangerous animals out there..(depending were you are) so some guns are essential..No need for automatic weapons kept at home though.

I remember Tony Martin well, the surviving scumbag who he shot lived about 10 miles from me.Had a bit of a run in with him myself..He's a drunken druggy now. Shameful what happened to TM.

I know a few Americans who lived here, they understand how different it is. A few would love to come back here to live.

Yes I remember years ago tyneside police went to america to follow police and to judge for themselves wether our police should carry guns. They came back with a resounding no. The said the have police to call upon who are well trained. Just glad we do not live in such a culture. Maybe that is wrong as I have never been therehandshake
