justjim63: I once met U.S President Bill Clinton, although i thought his security team were more interesting. Who have you met?
I think that would depend on who you asked I have met a few famous people I am not sure what would classify infamous? When I was a little girl I had breakfast with this really big eater and my daddy. His name was Haystack Calhoun. To me anyone that could put that much food away had to be infamous. Well at least at the time he was famous
Then a few years later we stopped at one of my dads friends homes in North Carolina. The silly woman did not even have the sense to remove the tags from her hat after purchasing my dad did not call her this name he called her by another name. I later found out she was famous. Her name was Minnie Pearl.
Then one night I met a man at dinner. My husband and I were not married yet and were not really thinking about marriage yet we had been dating for a few years. I was feeling down and this man started talking to me. In comes my soon to be husband and he is just staring at me. I thought ut oh the man is so mad he cannot speak. So I told my new gentlemen friend I had to go. He took a pen off his lapel and put it in the palm of my hand and said for me(how sweet) I have never been a person who is into sports but as we were heading out the door my sweetie looked at me and said how did you ever meet Willie Mays I said who is Willie Mayes? I still have your pen Willie blue with a gold triangle, you said it had been made just for you. Tho I am sure he might not remember me I think he really liked that pen. Last I heard (I am still not into sports) he is still living. But I think here in America he might be considered infamous. I think of him as kind and sweet as pie.
Those were some nice memories. Thanks had not about those people in a while.
Back in 2002 while living in Val Vista California I had chance to meet in person Actor/singer Michael Rider who co-starred in the movie Roadhouse.
Michael and his model girlfriend came to my home for dinner. What a treat that was.Michael lived in Idyllwild,Ca which was up in the San Bernardino MTs.His band used to play at the Cafe Aroma in Idyllwild.
He also produced/directed some Shakephere plays in Idyllwild as well.
