As more and more mothers begin to explore the world outside their homes, fathers are becoming extra caring and concerned in matters more than just finances. There's also a growing cult of single dads who are going all out to be there for their lil ones. Take the case of actor Rahul Bose who is happy playing mom and dad to the four kids that he has recently adopted. More involved, more emotionally driven and fun to be with - are dads are the new age moms? Do you agree?

MICKEYMOST: Well some of us have to be when you have irresponsible Mothers.
Are irresponsible fathers a novel concept to you?
If dads are going to get a medal for being lone parents, isn't it about time mums were given a break from the constant slagging they get for being single?

Yes I agree with you, though I am single now. Children grown up, grandchildren given back when hols over.
But I do take your point and realise it is hard work being a parent at times.

The question was "are Dads new age Mums"? so I answered according to my own personal experience, as per usual. I want ,nor require, a medal for doing my job as a parent,I enjoy it.

Good on you mate.
Parents lose out so much when they ostracise their kids. It will come back and bite them in years to come.

Good that some fathers are doing their fair share in child rearing in circumstances where women need to work to support the family. They have much better relationships with their wives and partners and less divorce.
No I dont agree. Parenthood isnt some kinda "cult" It just is what it is. I do think gender roles are changing as relates to parenting but a cult? Nah....

Are Dads the New - Age Mums? I don't think so.
But I have so much respect for those Single Dad who take care of their care of their children very well to the point that they even sacrifice their own happiness..
Well, both genders need to be workers and parents because there are less jobs and you never know what life will do to you next. Besides, if both parents work all day, it's their sworn duty to gang up and drive their kids nuts all night.
