....messages in your inbox from people asking for your e-mail addy or, asking you to reply to their email addy??? I've been on this site for a short time, and this has happened at-least twice. No, I did NOT fall for ANY of those.
I think this is the proper forum to ask this, due to the copy and pasted "description" of this forum below:

Any experience, advice and/or opinions on this?? Thank you ALL. Dayvo
I usually talk to someone on here several times, then if we seem to have things in common, I give them my real email addy. I think if they are in too big of a hurry to get your email addy, then you may wonder. But, in my case, I am quite harmless and it just seems like the logical next step. Best of luck to you ;)
Thank you Deianeira, for the reply. I had a couple of inbox messages that were from women "supposedly" from England and Russia.I never contacted them, they contacted me first. They both wanted me to give up my e-email addy or reply to theirs. One wanted to share some pix, and I was thinkin' "show your pix in your profile then". Logically, I would do as you do, share a few messages, see if we have anything in common, and go from there, like sharing e-mail addys. It was just a bit "suspicious" when I received these pericular messages. Thanks again for the reply and well wishes. Best of luck to you as well. Thanks again, Darlin'. Dayvo
dayvo, i wonder what the harm would be in giving them an email. maybe...keep an email profile just for chatting with folks from here and like sites...and have no personal information linked. that way you can use IM to get to know whether you even wanna get to know them...
Awww, Don't feel bad Darlin'. I know you mean well. That's FOR SURE!!! Not sure if this link I posted here will work, if not check your inbox page, and scroll to the bottom, and see "scam alert" in the yellow box, then click on "current scams page".
heh...believe me, i'm quick enough to catch a scam.
in fact, i busted a huge one on this site...lol...
my point is that giving an email addie isn't going to hurt a thing. several of the people on here and i exchanged emails quite quickly...and i made some awesome friends.
Thank you nwnstar, for all your replies. I hear what you're saying, I was just wondering if these scam messages are quite common around here. If so, I'm gonna be slightly dissapointed but, I'll get over it. Maybe, if you feel like it, send me a private message and clue me in to this "huge scam" you're talking about. Thanks.
I have a separate web-based emil addy that I use for Personals.
One reason I send my private addy to someone is so he will have no excuse not to send a pic. I NEVER meet anyone sight unseen .....and there are lots of guys who don't post a photo with their Profile.
