Its hard enough trying to fit in...then you jump in on a moving topic; but instead of being welcomed into the conversation, you get blanked (excluded from the discussions) ouch! Is this normal practice? (just wondering) or is jumwping in considered rude?

i'm no expert but it may depend on how you jump in as to whether it's considered rude or not.
Sometimes (especially if there's a meltdown going on between message boarders) they are too wrapped up in trying to get their point across that they do skip what other people have posted.
Just keep posting, other people in the forums will read and respond..

It happens quite often but I doubt it's done purposely. Sometimes people get caught up in conversation and miss people. I've been on CS for a few years and I still get ignored from time to time. Continue pariticipating in the forums and you'll find new friends in no time.

Yes, its normal prctice to get ignored here at CS forums. They all have their own clicks.

Yes, I quite like it here 2intrigued ..I usually go to the forums/blogs ..I tend to get overwhelmed with all the activity, then I forget to reply.

What she said I've been on here over six years and my posts still get missed. If I think it's important I'll copy it and post it again and that usually works but I only do that if the subject is interesting. I would have to say people are rarely intentionally ignored except if someone is a troll. One thing that's important is if you're a newbie it would be helpful if you introduced yourself in the Newbie thread with an introduction so people could get a feel about how you're going to write. I like it when a newbie starts with something funny cause it puts people at ease. Once you introduce yourself, then jump in whenever you want. Have fun

Im sorry you feel like that. I always make a point of checking the new members thread to welcome new peeps. Just jump in a rant along with the rest of us and believe me you will be welcomed.
