It’s unbelievable, but Monsanto and Co. are at it again. These profit-hungry biotech companies have found a way to gain exclusive control over the seeds of life – the source of our food. They’re trying to patent away varieties of our everyday vegetables and fruits like cucumber, broccoli and melons, forcing growers to pay them for seed and risk being sued if they don’t.

But we can stop them from buying up Mother Earth. Companies like Monsanto have found loopholes in European law to have exclusive rights over conventional seeds, so we just need to close them shut before they set a dangerous global precedent. And to do that, we need key countries like Germany, France and the Netherlands -- where opposition is already growing -- to call for a vote to stop Monsanto’s greedy plans. The Avaaz community has shifted governments before, and we can do it again.

Many farmers and politicians are already against this -- we just need to bring in people power to pressure these countries to keep Monsanto’s hands off our food.Sign now and share with everyone to help build the biggest food defense call ever.

I say if their crap is so precious then let THEM keep it contained & not contaminating any nearby fields!

If you have precious diamonds, jewels or metals & you leave them out in your yard & some force of nature comes along & blows them into a neighbors property, or one even further away, I think it should be too bad for you. If you have something of great value the onus is upon you to protect it the best you can.
I realize this isn't the greatest analogy but I think the main gist drifts through!

They've already done it with corn &/or soy beans here in the states!
Several farmers have fought to keep the rights to part of their crops for next years seed & lost!

Some have mortgaged everything in the fight & lost all!

What a sad place this once beautiful garden has been devolved into by the GREED of man!

And yet!!!!!

Sadly, first the big money from the big corporations that goes to the political enablers must be stopped/cut off!

And that'd be about as easy as killing Rasputin was!!wink laugh

The business of selling seeds that produce infertile plants, which also contaminate other crops, should end up in the courts.

I find it more honorable the cigarette business, than this way to control the most basic sources of wealth (and health). For if the farmers did not have enough problems, now this.
