In my country the father of Gods is Rangi, sky and is married to Papatuanuku, mother earth. And they spawned the gods and demi-gods...of mortals, creators of mortals. But there is also a higher power. With a different name, fathered by none, parentless.
And this, I believe, is the same in many different religions, thus many different names. Great Spirit, The Almighty, God, Allah, Wakantanka.

yes... in Santa Barbara there was a restaurant that my family would have an early dinner at on Sundays and it being run by a traditional Greek family, would have people dancing and as you say, Opa! was said and hands clapped... there was also a woman who would do some belly dancing and as others did, dad would put a bill or two in her waistband. As I recall, those Sunday dinners lasted for hours, it was quite pleasant.

Reviving? does this mean there may be thunderbolts shot from the skies towards earth to shatter mountains? OPA!
