Thats exactly the argument put forward on the radio there now, that it'll make traffic congestion a hell of a lot worse since people wont use the M50 anymore.

13 quid a day to use any road is crazy. That's 65 a week! And I also use them at weekends while visiting the folks and friends. It would be about 5k a year on tolls! Come on that is just wrong!

im one of those who lives on the northside of dublin and works in bray, as it stands between diesel and tolls for me to go to work for a month costs me a weeks wages. I can't afford to move cause I dont earn enough to get any kind of mortgage and renting isn't an option cause id not be able to eat if I rented. if they put the tolls up god knows how long its gonna take to get there and back, its just under an hour as it is providing there's no accidents or traffic.
it would be more cost effective for me to quit work and go on the dole if they bring this or the 4 or 5 more booths in, this country is a joke

That m50 toll people are a shower of gangsters and they are cleaning up, I drove up to Dublin and my first time on the toll and I dident even know it existed till I got the bill, I paid 2 tolls going up which were different prices??? and 2 back down so I assumed I paid my dues until I got the bill which was very confusing as I dident know there was a camera toll so I ignored it and got a fine of 140.00 euros via law firm, I asked other people around here and 3 other people had the same thing happen to them not knowing about the toll, I had to pay the fine like the others and on asking the law firm why so many people are having to pay this she said I should be keeping an eye on the road, I replied tell me why so many people in my area are having to pay a fine, nobody if they can help it would let it go to 140.00 euro she had no answer, simple the original fine letter confuses the m50 toll with the the fist pay by hand tolls to people who are not aware of it, nice handy SCAM going on there.That is 65 quid a week to drive in and out of work. ah i'd say that to anyone...purely implies someone is either a little excitable or is saying/doing something to provoke a reaction.
Ive used it quite a few times in these forums before. No-one has ever thought I was calling them an animal by doing so.
