oh ok, while in Tassie i purchased top of the cannon inkjet range printer (large Office one gave to community centre here few months ago) in NZ gst free, they were $1800 plus freight over here, paid NZ$900 plus $200 freight was delivered in my door in two weeks here no worries.

Yeah i think i read they gunner tax GST on your import, i'd be putting the tax exempt Act before Customs because any decision customs made would be you could appeal and if not put before (whether income tax or not) they can only say yes or no, don't put it before them they couldn't possibly say yes. If they say know you need to apply to your tax return then you simply deduct the amount from your annual tax-payable.
Something i noted you said was you've been waiting years for tax department refund, when perhaps you needed to have simply deducted it off your tax bill. maybe i'm wrong but that is what came to my mind

Haha , been waiting years for the good times we have been promised to have a high income to write a lot of held over expenses off against . 33 years I think I said . Every thing comes to those who wait . GST is charged on every thing coming over the border with a value more than 400 dollars , Dear Leader John eL Key wants to charge it on everything , debate is on going . Does not affect at all what I want to do as its claimed back(business expense ) . I am on a two month GST cycle . Now done on the net from home ,I might add , refunds come quite quick now . Paid direct to my bank account . I think I have said before that I have a HP printer bought in Dannevirke 50 dollars including GST with ink ,eventually ink ran out . Back to town , new ink cost more than the printer and was calidad (not sure that's spelt right) as well, so was cheaper than HP . Was going to buy another printer as he had more , quick think about options and decided against that, was not a goer as one printer every year soon stacks up . Chap has sold 230 last count and still climbing . Taking my HP bottles back for a refull as its cheaper than new Calidad

you need a lot of power for a laser printer . Looked into that . I did think about getting the bigger sheet printer for maps , not worth the expense though as I just bring up the bit I need rather than half the farm . Kens got a new phone with a GPS function in it , not cell tower but satellite and he can walk around any area and it measures it . His girls new computer has Bing maps programmed into it and can measure from point to point as well as area . But won't print it off for some reason . I can't see why a screen shot won't work although he could not put pic pic on it . There WILL be away .

I think he tried to download picpick as he had it on the older computer and wants it . Bill Gates has his had out I think . Bill Gates will understand that the only way to have money is not give it to somebody else . Besides he has enough and don't need our pennies as well .

I printed off a topo map onto clear plastic to overlay onto googles satellite image , I could not get the scale right and the lines rubbed off .Next trick fed the paper through again after printing satellite image . Could not get things to match . Google images here make high ridges look like creeks unless viewed from the north side of the sheet so wanted topo overlayed .

---- IMAGE REMOVED because photobucket.com no longer allows embedded images ----Mr bloody google shoves clouds all around the place . I have seen the pics on other programs cloud free . I also met the guy who flys for Horizons Regional Council, who pays for these pics using my rates .He does not fly when there are clouds . Suveyor who did some work for me January said he has a program that has clouds on it and they disappear when you toggle up closer , now if Google is not pulling a stunt I will eat my hat .
