langleygirl: Ham and pineapple is my 1st favorite, and second would be a deluxe selection.

Do you have snow where you live yet? (I'm answering this for myself as YES we did. Moose laughed when he saw my boots as they are good for maybe a couple of inches of snow).

Yes, we had our first snow today. My boots are rated for 100 below. Lol

Question for a fisherman(or woman). Do you enjoy going ice-fishing in the Winter?

My father took my brothers and I fishing about once a month when we were kids, the highlight of which was my sitting on a hook one day that had to be removed by doctors. I tried to take my daughters fishing but by the time we manage to get the worm on, it's usually time to go home (none of us want to touch the worm)mumbling, but never tried ice-fishing.

Has anyone ever had to write a Research Proposal Dissertation and how long did it take you?

I try to keep an open mind to all possibilities within any given field of science, realizing that in todays' information age there does certainly exist a great deal of valuable information along with a great deal of totally useless (and in some cases, harmful) information. At present, when I have felt truly ill, I have relied on conventional medicine.

movie at a theatre or concert in an auditorium ($$$ no object)

Concerts for me and I like to perform (playing at the Den Haag Filmhuis this Saturday head banger )

Are you a calorie counter or you eat as you wish and don't worry too much about it?

I'm not a calorie counter but I do need to be mindful to eat better at times.

On average how many hours of sleep do you need to be a functional person?

Is that per day, week month or year? laugh

I will answer for per day 6-7 hours is what I can manage. I try to sleep in on my days off but I think my body has it's own clock. ( also pets want to be fed.)

What are you making, having or had for supper tonight?

A salad consisting of boerkool (don't know the name in English), baby cabbages (don't know the technical name - but look like a tiny cabbage), mini tomatoes, red peppers, dried apricots, onions, little potatoes, minced meat and sugared water. Really yummy.

teddybear

and a glass of dry South African white wine

Question: How many hours a week do you spend on this website? And how many serious contacts do you receive a week - not the "I am a god-fearing man, widowed man with two children and am defending my country and I am blessed and honoured to have see your pretty face on this site" - kind of contacts...frustrated but real ones

Maybe average an hour or so a week now to read through the forums/post; and as for mail nothing serious and if they are inclined that way I know they haven't read my profile.

There was a time I spent far more time on here but its different now.

Do you have a library card and if so, how often do you visit your local library?

I don't have a public library card, but have access to the library at the school I work at. I go to the public library 5 days a week to do work in peace and quiet (actually it's quite loud thereprofessor )

Age old question: You are on a desert island, what 3 food or drink items do you take - not taking into consideration food allergies or health concerns?

Drinking water, beef jerky, and chocolate(gotta have chocolate) lol
Being on a international site like this is perhaps not much different as real life. Putting aside the differences in Human Nature do you notice much difference in the way others deliver their sense of humor?

People are people and when it comes to humor we are basically all the same. As a liberal eating great white shark conservative, myself ; i prefer a dry sense of humor with a little sarcasm.

Do you think Justin Trudeau would taste good ?

Do you mean in terms of a woman (or man for that matter) eating a man in a passionate way or in terms of a shark gobbling him while he surfs in Bondai Beach, Australia. I can only try and answer the former. Sure!, as long as he doesn't eat too many spices such as garlic or curry the day before and if he keeps himself groomed and clean grin

Question: When you begin dating, you might be dating 2 or 3 men at the same time. At what point should dating become exclusive to just 1?

mumbling mumbling okay, okay, I'll answer my own question mumbling mumbling

As soon as I believe there is a real connection, I would make it exclusive with the one.

Question: What is one major thing that you wish to accomplish before November 15th, 2014 or what is one major thing you are really proud that you accomplished since November 15th, 2012?.....Hint, today is November 15th, 2013 grin

Well I won't accomplish it today but I hope to get paid the 5 stats I am owed.

My question is (and I will double check it with a phone call) If you are employed but do not have a contract, does your employer have to pay for your statutory holidays? I think I already know the answer but what are your opinions?

I believe that here in Alta.the guidelines are that you need to be employed at least 3 months before you get that benefit. I think this is fair to both the employees and the employer.

Do you prepare early for X-mas or are you one of those last minute shoppers?

No but I don't wait for the last minute. I try and get a tree up around the 15th of the month and do my baking the weekend closest to the day.

Speaking of Christmas, will you be spending it with friends or family or is it going to be solo?

My Sister has done a very good job at keeping with tradition and has all of the brothers and sisters over for the traditional Xmas meal. And I always visit the kids later in the day.

Xmas has become very commercialized in recent years, has this changed your thoughts and feelings towards it.?
