laffingone: Q: When was the last time you went to a live music gig and who was it you saw? Open mic in the pub doesn't count
I went to a what was supposed to be a sock hop in Horsefly a few weeks back, but it was more a blue grass group. They were ok. Before that a few years ago I saw Chilliwack at our rec centre here which holds only about 200 people. It was a nice personal experience.
What is the most hours you would drive a day to get to a destination say if you were on holidays?
A: I just did a few 19hr. days driving back from Ottawa. Far too many hrs though. 8 hrs. a day driving is enough.
Q: How would you sooner travel for a holiday. Vehicle or Airplane??
jono7: yes....and i'd call it retirement....any plans/wishes for what you will do when you retire?
Re-what? LOL! Maybe.....retirement is like the moon.....some nights it appears so close,...but then I realize how far away it really is. Just keep doing what I am doing,,....and maybe use a few extra sick days....

Do you text while driving?
A: Always have my cell with me but never use it while driving.
Q: I can remember when we used to wait until we got home from work to see if we had any phone calls throughout the day. How long could you go without the use of your cell phone??

i like having my cell phone, but i don't answer it just cuz it rings... and that includes texting as well.
years ago, pre cell phone...if i came home from work and there were too many 'beeps' on the machine, i just erased it all without listening to it. i figured...if it's important, they'll call back..
Q: i once watched my son on his cell phone (while standing in my livingroom..), say..."sorry..i'm in my car and just heading through the tunnel and i'm going to lose my signal", and then he smiled and disconnected his phone.
Have you ever 'told a fib' to get out of a phone conversation?

Nope. I simply do not answer, thus eliminating the need to "fib" to get out of the conversation,....for it never occurs in the first place.

kennn: A: I once made an investment that turn out so well, it would be nice to be able to that over.
Q: People have hobbies that include collecting something. Do have anything that you enjoy collecting?
Hi Kenn, I LOVE collecting Cherished Teddies but alas have no more room to display them decently. I am considering a rotation cycle though to give them equal display time.
Given that its less than 2 months before Christmas when do you plan to put up your decorations and tree if you are so inclined to celebrate?

I usually start decorating around mid December. Growing up we would go out and chop down a tree and put it up on Christmas Eve. But I tend to put one up a bit earlier than that these days.
Do you play cards/board games and if so what is your favourite?

i really enjoy scrabble and it's not so much who wins, but the lame made up words (usually under the influence...lol) that make me laugh. we have a 'rule' that if a word is challenged...one must use it in a sentence....and that's the part that gets us laughing.
(we actually don't play against each other. we add up both scores for a total and see how we did compared to previous games.)
