epirb: did you ever get someone to help you with your firewood Obbs , you will just have to get a bigger fire that can take tires . Tried it with a couple of quad bike ones , burns vera vera well . (not recommended in town though )No splitting ,just a squeeze .
Yes I did, thank you for asking. There's a car site I hang out on besides this one and I made a similar thread over there and a guy local to me sent me a message that his dad had a big Maple tree that came down 2 years ago from Huricane Irene. It was all cut up in fireplace lengths so I went over there with my box truck and loaded 4 skids until my back started telling me to stop. I got 2 1/2 skids split & stacked. Even though the tree's been down for 2 years as you know it's not dry enough to burn until it's split. If I ever burned a tire around here I'd get arrested not that I would ever want to.
