From an Opera Bufa(comic)
Cossì fan tutte ( Thus Do They All -women-).
Abstract: Two naive young men, Ferrando and Guglielmo, insist their sweethearts, Dorabella and Fiordiligi, would never prove unfaithful. Their cynical older friend Don Alfonso contends that, given the opportunity, the fetching sisters would prove fickle as any other women. 1789

lifeisadream: The point is that Don Alfonso states that all women do the same.
Which I do not agree with, as it would be the same to say that all men do the same.
Other arista of the play is that the two sisters got enamored by the oposite brother in disguise.
Would they have been happier, better that way? We are talking about a 1789's play but on modern times.
Would it better for the two sisters to marry the two brothers and share partner?
Case of.............get behind me satan!!!! Resisting temptation is difficult, especially when the loved ones have absented themselves. In the case of Cosi fan Tutte............I think their lives were so enclosed.....they didn´t have much choice!!!! Unlike us fortunate 21st century folk.....who have the INTERNET!!!!!!!
Any way, monogamy seems to be outdated and they are family after all.

Still 2 brothers and 2 sisters could be matched by the internet, although much less probable.

unlaoised: here we go again...
I did not mean to disregard your comment Unlaoised.
Rumplesforskin(before name)-OB (present name) is well know for his pessimist, dark comments on the world view and problems and very frequently –if not always- he blames women for everythink.
There is not sense -and not fun- into trying to make him to consider other points of view.
