I know of only one which has been around since I can remember and it has to do with small claims court. How do I know because I exercised it 20 years ago, when the cabinetmaker took too long to deliver the kitchen I payed for. I reposed his car and sold it at the auction.

Now if you have been convicted of a crime not anything to do with motoring/car etc........ weather being you stole from a shop, dept store, burged a house or whatever (even if you walked there to do the crime) ... they can take your car licence from you

The right to drive is very sacrosanct. You have to do major stuff to lose it. You only lose it if you do enough against the road rules (including committing a crime), are too senile (okay, besides Lookin and me, I think there might be someone else), or committed a crime inolving a vehicle (meaning when you drive the getaway car).
However, defaults on proberty may mean that people may take out a claim against your vehicle but no way can they seize your license. And the Govt can only do that if you do wrong against the Legislation.
The Road Rules do include somewhere "getaway cars"
