I have not put a tree up. Not a bit of Christmas décor blues I have alternated between Christmas spirit and just wished it was over with. This will be the first year in many if I don't put one up. I have somewhere a small prelit tree I might set up before all arrives. Yes everyone for years has come here to celebrate Christmas. I am ready mostly to feed and entertain them. And even gift them. But for some reason the idea of décor has not been on my list. I guess I need to put it there. Hate to disappoint those whom come. It has been a difficult year for me. We will seesigh

I too do not bother with a tree now that my children have long flown the nest. I used to love decorating a tree and experimenting with different styles and colours each year, but now I prefer to fill the house with poinsettias and candles at Christmas. It still looks festive and welcoming.

Saw this on Hallmark Channel Home and Family Show. It's Jessie Jone's DIY Chalkboard Christmas Tree.

This would be fun to make.

I think I know what is wrong with my Christmas this year pom pom blues It has become so commercialized. When we were kids we would of been happy with an orange and a bag of pecans. The stores are a mad house and I think it is making me sad that times have changed. The big deal use to be that families got together for the day. Laughed played games and ate. Merry Christmas pom pom I hope your day is filled with happiness bouquet
