Dirty old town is a song about Salford in Greater Manchester.and not about anywhere in Ireland.

I have a tie with my third favourite song I mentioned earlier I can't leave it out its 'Sony don't go away,I forget who sang it could any of you kind people put it up for me as I can't do it myself but its on my list of things to do,teddybear

i wasn't aware of that thankyou for telling me.well songs can be universal and it can be about any town anywhere,mind you I live in the very clean town of Wexford.....I know of Salford I lived there as a child for awhile.

well my 3 songs still stay the same because no one got back to me when I asked who sang the song with the line,"Sony don't go away I'm here all alone,your fathers a sailor never comes home,I don't know who sang it so it excluded,okay I've had my chance ill be off now I'm so sorry breaking the rules.pscold
