My favorite is pumpkin swirled in with mashed potatoes and garlic, as part of the dinner, or is that supper?

Alright so I googled pumpkins in Miami - and so yes we do. However I don't know the prices.

Pumpkin Patch at Little Farm Miami-Dade
13401 SW 224 Street
Goulds, FL 33170
(305) 258-3186

For those who want a unique experience, drop by the Little Farm. While it is a bit of a drive, this traditional family farm lets you get away from the concrete and simply enjoy nature while getting your pumpkin. Once you’re there make sure to stop by their petting farm and maybe get a scarecrow kit. Oh and you get a free pony ride with each pumpkin purchased!

For Halloween it used to be traditional to cut out a turnip and make the face,my mam does that every year still now for my neice,

It's so hard to cut out turnip I don't know how she managed it,,,now the last few years people get pumpkins ,and not expensive as it used to be,

Much easier to cut too,,mam is getting pumpkin this year, applause ,

I have a recipe for pumpkin soup,,and I makeing a Dublin coddle this year and going to put pumpkin in it instead of turnip.

I calling it Dublin. Coddle au American, lol.

very happy

ooby_dooby: Funny, I think very highly of you, your intelligence, your command of the English language, your sarcasm is very refreshing. Your hatred of me means less than the stuff stuck on the bottom of my shoe.
Have a nice day.

JeanKimberley: The lesson I take away from this is that sometimes the small business person, farmer or lemonade stand in from of the home, do not have the mass resources to do price checks, buy in bulk, operate on a grand scale, and can lower prices on some things because they can charge lower prices below market on some things and raise the prices on other things.

So if this little "pick your own" had gone to Walmart and did a price comparison, they might have been competitive. And as far as the pick your own, they really should have done that, left the pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.

set them on a wooden Pallet, and they won't rot!
