Kattte: As a child when I first heard of the book “A Farewell To Arms” I envisioned a field with discarded arms lying all over and someone waving good-by to the arms. In the same vain, would we not be better off if more money was spent on legs? Why only arms…oh, right, money for legs wouldn’t have a leg to stand on...

Likewise, Peach and you’re as effervescent as ever ! Yes, I’m familiar with the painting…used to draw her with a ring of ears as a kid. The book and a couple of versions in film have been quite well done…they also remind people of other similar films. Have fun and enjoy!

pedalguy59: Yes quite right, like saying " I work for Cunard."(in your best Scottish)
Originally from Liverpool Cunard Shipping Line and builders.....now its owned by some European operators like the majority of so called British Industry......we who masterminded the Industrial Revolution..now paupers to the rest of the world ...they own us.
peachmelba: Was Thomas Henry v111 adviser ,,,do you think it was him that set fire to the rumours of Anne Boylinn betraying Henry and he was jealous of her influence over Henry, Then again again Henry was just a randy ol man and only had one son sickly Edward,
. But he had a son by Anne's sister Mary but he was illigiminte,
,Anyway the box of bones belonging to wicked Richard was found and its causing great excitement among the historians.
Imagine if a dog got at Richards bones and chewed them up,

peachmelba: Yea Richard is lying in state now . . I have bbc two live coverage of Richard s bones lying in wait in the cathedral .It's exciting stuff, . See you for his funeral,
He was buried in the right place...in the first place......all that cost for a set of old bones...regardless of history..usually at the public purse.
