I think we often expect that "soulmate" to be all things to us, our provider, protector, confidant, lover, the one who makes us laugh, comforts us when we are upset, DIYer, mechanic, the fixer of all things but we are all just flesh and blood at the end of the day. Sometimes we can expect what actually goes beyond the limitations of what human beings are capable of, i.e. Superman? I am happy to accept the faults and flaws as long as he was loyal and had my best interests at heart. Couldn't ask for more. Dx.
you don't earn a soul mate, but sometimes it may take work to keep one.... sometimes things are hard, but you have to stick it out, and that is a hard, very hard thing to do.
i nearly cut my thumb off with a power saw a while back and im lucky i didnt lose it bass players dont need to many fingers they can root note and they only have 4 strings to figure out theres a fair bit of sole in the blues.
A relationship is not 50/50... It's 100/100. You both give 100%. WHen one can only give 90%, the other out of love will take up that extra 10% and vice versa. If you both only give 50%, then it's not going to work very well.
Everyone's idea of a soulmate is different... It's a term people use to describe 'the one' in my opinion.
Richard Bach has the best definition I've read about soulmates or 'the one'....
.....A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our own paradise. Our soulmate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction. When we're two balloons, and together our direction is up, chances are we've found the right person. Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life......
