Folks, out of nothing more than curiosity, what's the greatest compliment you received that led directly to something positive happening? You don't HAVE to say what it led to, but it'd be interesting if you would.

While working as a gopher (set up rooms, sterilize equipment) in a hospital in California, a doctor came up to me and said, "You are way beyond doing this ground work. You need to go to college and get something under your belt". I did; it led from being an orderly to being licensed in several technical disciplines, and of course, far, far better money.
I often times, have and do, get complimented on my quality of work that I do in my trade. It not only makes me feel good but ensures me that I want to continue to do so.

I worked for my husband back in the 70's and one day he asked me to type a letter. When I finished typing it he was impressed with what I typed and said "You'll always be able to be get a job typing". After he died I worked for a company as an Executive Secretary and after that as a Legal Assistant for many years. Both jobs required an immense amount of typing.
