You are right, most of the time is just a way to get your information or information of someone else. I do have a website that we have to use as a medical workers for a background check. If you are interested I can provide it to you ;)

I know nothing of the online background checks.
I wouldn't bother doing a background check on myself cause I passed 3 and my record is so clean I could eat off of it.
I never did anything to get myself in trouble with the law etc.

I was just wondering. I started to get a little worried about it (I tend to be a worry wart sometimes) but then it dawned on me that I had a technical license to inventory, order, and dispense controlled substances, I worked in a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, and I had to pass background checks for that--(and believe me, they take no prisoners regarding that career!!) so I stopped worrying. I could not have worked in the field if there was anything wrong with my background. It just isn't allowed.I never did anything to get myself in trouble with the law etc.
