Hello there, Just wondering if any of you politicos out there could explain why the President HAS to be Hillary or Trump come November? Aren't Jill Stein and Gary Johnson on the ballet too? Why doesn't that make it a four horse race?
- I know it's something to do with John Adams and trying to prevent factionalism from de-stabilising the Government back in the day, but not sure of the ins and outs. Please explain like I'm five.

The other two horses did not get out of the stable in time. I don't think they will make it on the ballot in all the states. Not that that should matter if they are on the ballot in the key states. I am unsure which states they are on. I know it is 40 something last time I checked
Actually our electoral process is so complex I don't think a five year old could understand it.

Rumples: Hillary vs. Trump is the ultimate manifestation of nerd vs. jock. Nerd vs. jock has been growing and intensifying ever since the greatest generation lost control of society and the boomers(more the late boomers)took the helm. The early baby boomers had a good balance between being able to throw a punch AND being able to use long words, but it didn't last and today is the total opposite: No one who can think knows how to fight, and vice-versa.
Nerd elitism versus jock populism dominates the conflict of our times. I don't know much about Jill Stein, but as for Gary Johnson I'd say his nerd elitist vote will either go to Hillary or try to hijack the Trumpening: there's simply no room to carve out a nerd elitism for right wingers and they'll settle for Hillary and live with her morbidly inefficient social welfare programs or they will ingratiate themselves with the Trumpening and try to remove all talk of race, gender, class, and nationalism, but keep the tax cuts bit.
