I don´t know which kind of determinism you mean. When you mean the one that everything that happens is determined in advance regarding fate, then I think we living creatures on this earth simply develop and adjust to the evolution with our brains and bodies or abilities and there is nothing determined.
When you mean that everything that happens can only happen because before that happened something else as a condition, then I can´t say no to that because that includes of course also steps of the evolution. I hope that makes sense. It is a bit late here already
