little raegan came down with a high fever on tuesday. i thought it was an early ear infection...but when i cleaned out her ears, there was no pus (she has tubes, so an infection is quickly noticeable). i made it home after midnight, so made her an appointment on wednesday for today.
anyway, she has viral pneumonia, and she's uber sick. having a hard time keeping her fever below 103. left lung isn't inflating all the way, both lungs are infected...but her pulse ox was good, so she's not in the hospital.
i have to give her albuterol at four puffs every two to four hours. they put her on antibiotics on the slim chance that it's bacterial.
anyway...i had to take a medical leave of absence from my job today...and i'm looking at my baby who with her strength issues can't even walk right now. she just lies there.
i will be praying for you strength and comfort, and for god to control that fever to a reasonable level, i know that he will touch you both and she will have a quick recovery.....
i was shocked when they said it...she's had several chest x-rays, she often sounds congested when it's just fluid pooled at her esophagus, as she has dysphagia and aspirates...it's never been positive before.
she's down a full pound (from 30 to 29) and she won't eat or drink. i have a cut-off...if she goes more than eight hours without urination, then i take her back in, or if her oxygen levels dip.
