Is it just me that doesn't understand?!! ( Archived) (11)

I have to say that since I have been on the Forums there have been some very witty, intelligent, thought-provoking threads and posts. The majority of these are articulate and highly debateable, inspiring great responses of all different views and, in the process, I think we all learn something from them. And what a fab bunch of people! Having said that, there are a fair few that, no matter how many times I read it over, I still just cannot understand what has been said and I try, I truly do try! It often seems to be from the same people, is it just me?! What is it I am not getting? Do I need to aspire to a higher intellectual plane?
Anyone else? I hope I am not alone, I must just start getting a complex?!!!

It could be like the old cliche of "Birds of a feather will flock together." Maybe you are an itellectual and respond to other intellectuals but having trouble understanding nonintellectuals.

I don't think it is you darling, but rather those who come on-line after a few too many drinks or the likes....

it's not you! I know the feeling. i usually assume that if I can't read or understand it...it's not for me

just kick back and enjoy the ride i dont think many of us on here are very serious. just have some fun relax unwind and get lost in the craziness. things are much better this way.

I think you mis-interpret what I meant (seems I am guilty also then).I have already said that many posts are very witty, I don't need them to be serious all the time. I love having a good chuckle, like anyone, but its a whole different thing when you can't make any sense of some of them!

I hope that my is not cause for there being of. I try not as to when I am. Let know if me was reasonable of the kind everytime or time. It is communicating of value most notly. Anyhoo!

Call it paranoia....or the remnants of a loooong night and day, but I so hope that you don't mean me, I love the threads and the thoughts and ideas bandyed around here, and yes, there are some cross over inhouse jokes that creep in. I know that it can get confusing when people know more personal stuff about others in the thread, shared through previous emails, conversations and threads....
