Skinthemule: I don't trust atoms. They make everything up....

Good one!

Since atoms don't exist in a place, unless we consciously observe them; and we're made of atoms...

Do we exist? and if so, where do we exist?

And where does that leave our "fossil record?"

TokyoRogue: .., But then Kraus is postulating a quantum foam that incorporates spaces time and the very fabric of the cosmos. So, I guess for our purposes, everything you come into contact with is made of atoms, breath included.

This past August a little noticed by the media stellar event milestone happened. Numerous speculations about cosmology were proven to be a reality when machinery designed to detect mythical gravitons suddenly did so at the same time multiple optical, radio and X-ray telescopes recorded a past far away event which caused a brief wave of gravitons to shake the Earth.

The Bible's Firmament, or quantum foam as others called it was proven to exist, as were the never before detected gravitons.

There is enough about the event on the Internet so that I won't bore you with the details, but essentially over 150 million years ago, and that many light years away (luckily), 2 large neutron stars collided head on and in the collision for a brief instant enough gravitational force was released to literally shake the entire Universe.

Like a wave caused by a rock dropped into a pond a wave of gravitons spread out across the Universe. At the exact same time multiple observatories and deep space probes recorded the sudden flash of light and spike in radio waves, the non-affiliated, multiple, graviton detectors also detected and recorded the event.

The wave of gravity would not have occurred and detected so far from the event if there was not a firmament medium to carry them. It can be agreed that whether or not the firmament the Universe is in is foamy, vs something else could possibly require additional experiments. However if enough of the underlaying requirements of a quantum foam Universe prove to be true, that would prove to sufficient and make the experiments to prove the nature of the firmament is more like foam pointless and moot.

Now that they have been proven to exist, several nation's teams are exploring practical uses, artificial generation of gravitons and possible military applications for gravitons.

Several Cosmological theories that include gravitons and quantum foam also require another mythical particle called the Tachyon. Tachyons travel faster than light and can move both forward or forward in time. Traps are being constructed as you read this to confirm their existence. The potential applications are many.
