Meeting with North Korea.... ( Archived) (4)

Not negotiations, just a meeting. Why the distinction? We better be hard with these people, and disabuse them of any chances to falsely claim status. Negotiations speak of status. A meeting is little else. Softie behaviors as with our last president (affirmative action B Hussein O), will be seen as weakness at best, opportunity at worst. Ask the biographers of Neville Chamberlain. Or Saddam, up until our elite soldiers found him cowering in a sewer drain. Our brilliant President Trump is different, and the fact that he's willing to meet is one more example of many such. But I suggest we really make the meeting seem right on schedule. Protocol preparations, venue plans and so on. Then, while the dear leader is in the air, on his way, gleefully expecting once more to bamboozle us, we cancel abruptly. We use a insulting excuse, such as Mr. Trump is planning a new golf resort. But by diplomatic channels (read the PRC, Iran, Syria), we let it be known that immediately, after another nuclear test, or missile flying over Japan, we flatten the several bomb test and missile launch sites, along with dear leader's favorite boudoir site. Low/no fallout devices such as daisy cutters or neutron weapons make sense, to limit unnecessary damage. We notify, seriously, with no fanfare, one hour prior to the attack, so folks at target sites can skedaddle. We say no more, and guard against leaks. Three carrier groups will be sitting off the coast of the peninsula. Japan and other China Sea bully victims of the PRC provide coordinated air cover. And we continue to ramp up the sanctions, which may finally be working, now that these (finally) involve the bank accounts/foreign real estate of high PDRK party elites. Then President Trump tweets that he's open to a rescheduled meeting, say sometime next year. Recall, we were holding six party talks with Kim, in the early 2000's, and thought we had agreements on tampering down the nuclear threat. You all know where that went. We were chumps. Such tactics are right in line with our brilliant President's style. Tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum are more of the same. Shaking up the swamp a bit, in DC and elsewhere. Keeps 'em guessing---to great effect. Announce policies that will get attention, then be in a better position when the talk begins. Good thing I'm not in this decision loop. Aa-V.

You don't have to worry about Trump over-respecting anyone or treating anything that seriously whether it's serious or not. I believe you should put the calculated, self-conscious and double-dealing nerd republican to one side and allow Mr Blase to work his magic. The leader who makes it all about himself may overcome political divides because none of you know where you stand.

Thanks, CC. I think I know what you would like us to think you mean, but I'm not sure what I mean here is what you may hope to be thinking I really had in mind when I tried to say what I meant in te first place.. Aa-V.

The latest ... meetings to talk about the preconditions that the USA demand prior to the talks about the talks ...

I so wish the Monty Python writing team were still together ... so much brilliant material going to waste these days !
