I am saddened, but not surprised that any big commercial company that doesn't "like" the content of a group can contact this site & the group is suddenly deleted without notice or notification.
I suppose this thread will also shortly blink out of existence too. then me

I think you be ok.
Any big commercial company also should worry about consumers rejection.

Can you give an example of whatever you are talking about? As in all the time I have been here I have never seen a thread removed due to some company disliking the contents.

Well thank-you dear, for your kindness.
There IS a certain big commercial company that l am dealing with/in negotiation with that is considering their options carefully, because l am also on many other social sites, plus am a prominent flagbearer for their most expensive products in this city ...l really have no idea how they will resolve a certain issue, but l hope that it will have an amicable ending.

Hello sir, well, there is a first time for everything ...though l don't think this instance would be a first.
l am not chatting about a "thread" ...l am referring to the closed "groups" on here ...hobbies, activities, cliques, etc

and l am still digesting the unpleasant realisation that a company that l spend an enormous amount of my money, on their products, has chosen to stick their nose into my private life !! ...ggrrr ggrrr
How do you know that's why your group was deleted...did you get an e-mail from the mods stating so....and just why do you think a large company would have time to keep an eye on what you're doing?.....

l thought about ignoring your post, but here goes ...
1/ The groups on this site appear in search engine results on the internet where they have a worldwide readership.
2/ This company asked me which sites / groups their products were discussed.
3/ Auction/Sales/Social Sites rarely or never send emails that could be used against them to their members ...heaven forbid that they might be perceived as corrupt.
4/ Well, l'm sorry to disillusion you, BUT large, very large companies take a great deal of interest in ANYTHING that is brought to their notice ...when it involves money !!

If you mentioned a company by name that is in breach of the site rules, could be used as a form of advertising, and as this site is free, they rely on ads for income to support this site.
So I would think far more likely that the site deleted your group for breaching their rules, why should you make or appear to make money from a free dating site? That makes far more sense than some company bothering to seek out CS and request your groups removal.
mmm, l certainly hope you're right ...l really do !!
My group membership &or myself did not stand to make any money ...and although a particular unique item was discussed, other Brands/items were also welcomed/invited to be included in the debate.
This particular group was established on CS one whole year ago ...and l definitely do not believe this arbitrary incident occurring now, an entire year later is a coincidence ...it stinks, ggrrr
If l had been asked to, l would have been happy to remove the Brand/item name from the group name, but obviously it is ridiculous to suggest removing that Brand/item name from other group content ...what's the point of creating groups to debate hobbies, interests & pursuits if you aren't allowed to discuss the subject ??
