I would put it right beside my bed on my nightstand.......

and when I think of her, I would read it and re-read it over and over......

no way in heck would I publish it......if anything, I would request on my will for it to be buried with me.......where it belongs.....

i think it would be best to just put it back into the box and say a prayer for the trust she placed in you, BUT, if you feel compelled to sell it and make some money off of it, then ask her parents for advice. Me?! I wouldnt even consider selling it, so it is a 'moral' AND 'ethical' question.

Respect your friend's wish! You wouldn't be a real friend if you didn't!

Respect her wish and put it away. If u publish it guilt would prevent u from enjoying any financial gain. It was a gift that was meant for u and not for the world.

I think the book is FOR YOUR EYES ONLY.....

And, how do you KNOW it would be a best seller.

Perhaps, hw/she wrote it to HELP YOU ONLY??????Knowing you!

I would keep the acursed book but will it to my kids for them to publish with a long and thoughtful forward. The gift was for you, once you're dead it's payday.

Respect their wishes and keep it for myself - from my best friend. A heartfelt gift from them to me - and treasured as such. Personal profit would never enter the equation.

I would respect my friend's wish. Cherish the book.
You should feel very special...how often does a friend take the time to write a book just for you.

I don't have any friends who would put me in that kind of moral dilema. (at least I hope) But if I did, and if it happened, I would publish the book. I'm asumeing that we had something in common and that is what I would want my friend to do if the situations were reversed.

Just my humble opinion....(slowly backing away)
