octopus is yummy if cooked right. i had it in a stew. i enjoyed the sucktion cups. lol
not sure if it is strange but I did have alligator when I was in New Orleans ...
i said how i thought octopus was...so, what about alligator. how was it?

alligator is a white meat like pork but grainier than beef. I had it with a hot mustard sauce. It was good.

Many years back some Chinese friends took us to an out-of-the-way restaurant down a back alley that only the locals know about. The food was authentic Chinese and not the Canadianized schlock we get in mainstream restaurants.
Nothing was recognizable and all was delicious. To this day, I still have no idea what I ate that day.

I have had Frog's legs........FYI: DOES taste like chicken, just a little smaller in size
Shark Steak: ok, tangy and fishy.....some french restaurant
some ostrich kinda bird that I still to this day don't know what the frigg it was,.......had it in Cancun.....tough meat....chewed it for what seemed like eternity.....YUK!
Escargot.....YUK! never again am I gonna eat a slug!
Venecin...(deee sausage)......NEVER AGAIN.....YUK!

To tell you the truth i would never have eaten 'gator meat...I didn't know i was eating it until the kids said...this chicken tastes like fish....

I ate ostrich that was prepared in a french restaurant. It was not tough, like Rose's experience. It was sort of like turkey - only better.

Oh, and I love kippers and enjoyed haggis... 
i've tried deer bear moose caribu and didn't like any of them i don't like any wild meat i've tried snails and clams and frogs legs and only liked the frogs legs.i can be a picky eater at times but aslong as i'm not told what it is until after i have tried it then i will eat it.
I have tried deer and moose for sure... I don't care for wild game but moose burger is great in spaghetti etc!
I love Chinese dim sum and some of those things are pretty strange but luckily I only eat certain things!

I am pretty sure i've eaten dog and cat in a chinese restaurant...but i didn't know it at the time...i'm pretty sure i had ordered the beef and broccoli
