Considering that there was over 200,000 Irish serving in the British army during WW1 & 35,000 of them were killed. It would appear that the poppy & fenianism doesn't necessarily have any connection.

Defo was originally pink until washed with oily overalls. Couldn't even attempt to describe the current colour. They do have a more snug fit after the hot wash though
