President Trump declared a health emergency on January 7th, after the M6.4 (or greater).
Thousands of people are still in shelters from Hurricane Maria, where 2,700 people died.
Gov of New York, Andrew Cuomo is on his way to Puerto Rico. Some are questioning his motives or attachment, because NY is $6.1 BILLION in debt. He also spent Thanksgiving there with his 3 daughters and last week, sent employees from The New Port Authority to help out with the power outage in Puerto Rico (New York Post)
Does he know, Puerto Rico is a territory and not a state like he is supposed to governing and caring for? I am sure he is aware, Puerto Ricans are a significant minority voting bloc in New York
