lindsyjones: There's not much known about how they were raised as family. I wouldn't put any condition for my children's love under any circumstances. This is different. Factors to be considered is essentially how the mother will act. In the US, on cases like this, the court decides who's best in the custodial interest. If the court decides that I'd keep them, I wouldn't hesitate. There's no difference in the fact that biologically they're not mine.
"The choice would be theirs if they want to continue to have a relationship with me after that, though not as their father." This was the OP's opinion. I responded to that. I wouldn't put any condition like that. In fact I wouldn't change the relationship at all except for the mother. I would continue treating them as my own.
