Who qualifies for loan debt forgiveness?
The White House's plan will forgive federal student loan debt for borrowers who earned less than $125,000 -- or less than $250,000 for heads of households or married couples filing jointly. Along with undergraduate federal loans, the plan covers graduate and parent PLUS loans, according the the Washington Post.

For those who qualify under the income caps, the White House plan would erase $10,000 of debt from their federal student loans. Those with Pell grants, roughly 27 million borrowers, would get an additional $10,000 of their debt canceled, bringing their total to $20,000 in canceled debt, according to a White House press release.

You just don’t comprehend how this is unfair to most taxed individuals with earned and unearned income(s). smh

Just because you didn't win the lottery, doesn't mean you didn't win!

The investment in education should start with reducing the tuition costs of college and make it affordable for everyone to get a degree in post-secondary schools - traditional college or vocational training.

But, you would have to go to college to understand the difficulty students face in paying off debt accumulated from colleges that profit from their attendance.

Public education has been de-funded for the past 40 years. What was once affordable to lower and middle class kids - is now impossible without a long term debt of $100,000 or more. Your future depends on an educated citizenry. Unless you are willing to see doctors, dentists, teachers. attorneys, accountants, engineers and other professionals with no degree. Good luck without a high standard for professions!

You raise some good points (except needing a college edu poin) but we do not need an advanced college educations to build a career, make money and live comfortably. If you want to reduce tuition costs, cease with the ‘I need an advanced college education’ and also defund the college professors/teachers who never teach but use teacher assistants instead.
