Have you made a connection online, and finally met face to face, was it a success story or a nightmare?

Hi Jane...there's been many threads dedicated to this...but here's my answer...

I have been on CS for a year and some now...made alot of awesome "friends" originally mostly from the states...and some who i actually got to meet in person...it was an amazing time..
When they started the "Canada Forums" several months ago..I got the opportunity to meet more Canadians..and again made some really incredible friends....

As far as "hook ups" go...I have met and dated (dating?) three from the site...the first relationship lasted 5 months...the second only a month (in that time i had only been with him in person twice) and this third one has been two months...and going strong..

Hopefully you learn from each "experience"..both good and bad...because "internet" dating can be quite deceptive (to put it mildly)...

Thanks for the response wikked! Nice to hear something positive. I figured there are a ton of threads about this topic but wanted to start a fresh one, hear some success stories here in Canada, make some new friends. New to the site and hope the experience is a positive one......

LOL...I know i summed it up in a "nutshell"...it wasn't really like that...there were a lot of "frogs" to kiss before finding my "prince"

Bell Canada was seriously considering making me a shareholder for the amount of money I spent in long distance charges...

My cell phone bill was no better...in August and September (when i thought my "true love" might have lived in Montana...) my cell bill was $1500.00 (could have travelled there and cut out the "air time" on that bill huh??)

So yeah...I "learned" as i went....

I hear you! I signed up with Shaw for a bundle with internet, full cable and unlimited long distance home phone for $125.00 a month. My long distance was killing me with Bell when I lived in Ontario. No quality or service difference with Shaw digital home phone...would be crazy not to sign up for that deal. Is $44.00 a month, full features, no hidden costs, flat rate every month. And I have made many, many long calls back to Toronto since moving. I think Rogers has the same kind of package in Ontario.

There is probably a thread here somewhere about kissing frogs no? Ha!

Just wanted you to know that I have met my match on CS. WE have been seeing each other for 2 months now and this relationship has moved really quite quickly. We are in a long distance relationship but we are making plans for the future..

I have met 3 people face to face from CS. 2 friends only and 1 I dated for awhile but he moved away and was younger and we just wasn't meant for one another.

I am in another site and I had met a few. 1 I dated and others just friends.

No bad experiences so far.

I wish I can said the same as the other ones.......all the 3 I have ever met they were so bad.... so bad!!!......I just give up the whole thing and I even chance my profile to just find a friend!!....
