I have and do,
have not allowed any of them to spend the night... its something i cannot bring myself to do.

I get a kick out of helping others at the spur of moment. came across a woman sometime B4 the holidays with 2 kids, while at this restaurant I over hear one of the kids crying they wanted more... hell I bought them their supper and the kids shared another half-order of pancakes and a milk.... hey who can pass moments like this.

I wouldn't invite them into my house, but I have taken some homeless people out for a meal.

I have had homeless people in my home and fed them. My ex-husband and I use to own a furniture installation business and when we had larger jobs we would go to the homeless shelter and hire those with construction skills. They worked hard and seemed thankful for the chance go be productive and earn the money.

I agree .I hired in the past some homeless guys too who worked harder than the rest of the crew just to prove their worth.I told before about some bum whom I felt sorry and took him home to help out.As a thank you he left a great mess in the bathroom-don't even ask- and threw the food and the jeans away I gave him and used the 10 Bucks for booze. Not ever again I promised myself

Do you know the 'Help Forward' idea? I'm not sure I remember it correctly, but it has to do with doing a person a kindness, and asking them simply to pass one on to someone else.

What a wonderful notion....
