Raised in Muscle Shoals, and lived in all four of the quad-cities.

Air Force, stationed in Ft. Walton Beach, moved back to Russellville.

Moved to Opelika, Al., then to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Cripple Creek, Colorado, then L.A. Cal, Back to Opelika.

Back up to Muscle Shoals, then back to Opelika.

Then I moved to a bridge overpass, I seem to be stuck in this state !

Alabama is my tar-baby !

Raised in Fairhope, moved to Mobile when I was 25.

Moved to New Orleans way back when my daughter was 4, but my roommate left, couldn't afford it on my own, so moved back home to Mobile.

Moved to Pensacola, FL in 2000 when I got married, that ended in 2003, again moved back to Mobile.

Just applied for a job in Arizona, so may be moving again.

Southern girls always go back home eventually... LOL I don't feel stuck, just like the warm weather and being near family.

I lived in Huntsville, AL for a time back in 1968. My husband was stationed here at the time. Then in 1977 we were brought back to Huntsville by the Army. This is where we were when we divorced. I stayed due to having small children and not wanting to deal with the hassle of relocating with small children. I have just pretty much stayed because my children and their families are in this area. I did leave one time a few years ago to the Atlanta area. I could not find employement so came back. There are times I do feel stuck in Alabama, but for the most part am pretty much settled here. I grew up in the Air Force and was born in SanAntonio, TX. While I was still at home, I lived in Texas, New Jersey for a very short time, Morrocco, Germany and Mississippi. After I married I lived in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Ethiopia and Germany.

Hmmm never felt stuck here except when i was a child, but i've moved away several times and to several places I just always ended up back "HOME" Bama is where I will live until i die i believe.

Okay, stuck is the wrong word, how about, 'drawn back' for family or the beautiful weather here !

I moved away once to TN when I was a kid, not my choice, I was only 11. We moved back when I was 17, have been here ever since. I would love to see the rest of the world, but I know I'll always come back home to the greatest place in the world.

I visited 11 countries, but only liked one well enough to consider relocating there. That would be France (southern region preferred).

Reason for "moving back"? That's where the military shipped my stuff when I left, plus, I didn't have anywhere else to go. I didn't know you could change your "home of record" (which is where they ship you & your stuff at discharge).

Stuck here? Yeah, I'm stuck here, at least until my sons are of legal age and can leave with me.

I guess Alabama is OK (somewhere), but overall it's quite a bit too "Bible-Belty" for my taste.
