Of course its his looks, and the fact he is plastered everywhere. Besides the fact that hes loaded with cash from his daddy(the way better driver, god rest his soul) and all the commercials, magazine ads, spokesman for wranglers, the guy is an icon thats why the girls like him.

I'm new to this site but I felt I had to comment on this one. Being a female from Alabama, I can tell you that Jr. inherited alot of his fans from his dad. Those same people who hold out hope that one day he will magically live up to the "Intimidator" legacy. That isn't gonna happen and that's what makes Jr. so popular. He's the opposite of his father. He's got that Opie (from Mayberry) demeanor and women love it. He doesn't intimidate people, he invites them into his life. He doesn't fit the old-time nascar mentality. He's smart, funny, and he enjoys what he does. Women like his personality and sure it doesn't hurt that he's not bad looking either. Trust me, read his book Driver #8 and you will get a better idea of who he is.

OMG...I will be NICE here, and just say that NOT all women love the "dopey", if it wasn't for his Daddy, he would be nowhere, (I cried when his Dad died,), but alot of folks follow him just on sympathy.

Hey Scarlet. Yes we do. Tony "SMOKE" is the man now. He has worked his way up from the bottom, the stats prove it, yet "Dopey Opey #8" can throw all the fits he wants to, talk any way he wants to, to ANYONE he wants to, but they let him by with it. Tony lost points and paid fines till he smartened up and kept his mouth shut.The difference here, I'll say it a million times is, DADDY'S MONEY AND NAME!!!!But that's ok, cuz Tony can out drive that little Dopey Opey anyday. Has anyone noticed but me how oh Jeffie Gordon gets mad and cries now when he gets beat? Rosie , I laugh at your comments , you really don't like the #'s 8 , 24 , and 48. But you have to give them credit for talent. I respect almost of the drivers , because they seem to be "regular guys".
