Here's another question: To what kind of restaurant do I take her?
Assuming she is not finicky about her food, what kind of restaurant would be appropriate? Obviously, I would not take her to McDonald's or Burger King and I certainly wouldn't treat her to the $0.99 value menu at Wendy's. So, what other choices do I have?
On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 = terrible choice, 10 = excellent idea), please rate the following eating establishments for "dinner dates"...
Red Lobster T.G.I.Friday's Ruby Tuesday Olive Garden Applebee's Outback Steakhouse Ruth's Chris Steakhouse Old Country Buffet [Fill in your choice here: __________.]
On a first date, I would like to take a girl some place where we can actually eat the food. I'm not one of those guys who dines in fancy downtown restaurants where they charge $100 for one string bean on a plate and their silverware is more expensive than my car. I just want to be sure that I choose a place that makes a good impression.
Thanks for your advice! :thumbs up: You guys and gals are awesome!
On a first date? No, it doesn't seem appropriate. Also, keep in mind, I am meeting this girl from online (after we've spoken on the phone a few times). I don't think bringing her back to my place on the first date gives the right impression. I'm willing to take things slowly with her. I do know how to cook, but the candlelight dinners will come later when I sense there is romance in the air.

Are there any small "out of the way" restaurants in your area? They are usually known by the locals...great food and a decent price. Also, find out her background/heritage. If she is German, take her to a German/Austrian restaurant.
Take her somewhere they know you and you know them. Somewhere the food and atmosphere is fun and is right for you and her.
If you don’t know such a place, make it. Do you due diligence and research and go find the place that fits you. Get to know the bar tenders and make sure they know you and what you drink. Make sure the waitresses know you as well and your favorite foods, entrées and appetizers. Try to find a unique restaurant, one with class and charm and stay away from the cooperate feed mills that clutter the American restaurants scenery. Your better than that and you need to show it.
