I mean how do you know if the pic is really the person you are connecting with. Just would like some input I'm shy and not sure if I should post my pic or not. Any advice?

You can never really tell who is truthful or not. Just teh chance a person has to take. But in any case, to me a pic helps. its always nice to see the face behind the words. But thats just me. Guess everyones differnt.

I have found that I get better respone's with a photo. When I first came onto dating site's I didn't have a photo and I wasn't having much luck. After I got a photo, thing's got way better. My advice, get a photo.

I think a picture is definitely helpful, unless you look like me. However, being a leaf fan would explain why you'd rather keep a low profile. Go SENS go!

Posting a picture definitely helps,....Men especially are more "visually" stimulated more so than what a really well written profile can do for them...lol
And you are right about the "picture" not really being themselves...that has happened alot, and of course will continue to do so...however...that is really defeating the purpose if that person is really on here to "find" someone doesn't it?...I mean eventually one has to meet for a relationship to progress...right??
It is definitely a waste of people's time and effort when "fake" people/pictures run rampant on a site...but its also one of the reasons that participating in a forum is good, you do get the benefit of getting to "know" someone beyond what is written on their profile, and then again there are those on here who have actually met others off this site...and in that case can vouch for those they have met as being "real"...

I gave up on photos long time ago, why? because, people in person are different. I prefer to read their profile to see if they are interesting to me.
Those, that ask me for a photo and do not comment on my profile at all, just tell me they are..........

I use to have a photo up, but I am looking for something in the profile of the writer that connects with me, and found that those that write to me, usually, have nothing in common with me. I don t think they even READ the profile first. So, I now choose to send photos directly to those I like.
