I dated this guy a c ouple years ago.....

Well it turned into a friends with benefits thing. About a year later my friend started seeing him, not knowing of our past. They had a serious relationshi with ups and downs. Well it has been over for about a year and he is pursuing me. I don't really talk to her anymore, but I still would feel guilty to pursue something with him. He is a catch! He's a reporter for a huge paper in detroit and has everything going for him.. I'm a little confused on what to do... Any advice? wave

Stay away. I'd be pretty pissed if one of my friend's starting dating my ex! Just not cool!

technically...you had him first.

and if you aren't speaking with her...then i'm not sure what the problem is. life's too short to disregard every male your friends ever date. if so...jeesh, half the population would be off limits (especially if you knew my best friend!).

Mmmm, I would consider asking her, but you might wanna remember, there was a reason for their ups and downs, and a reason you two never got serious the first time around. He might not be such a catch after all, the job does not make the man.

You don't have to answer this here - but reflect on why you stopped seeing him the first time around. No one here can tell you what you should do - in fact, you likely have a pretty good idea already of what you want to do and what it could potentially cost you....

Without knowing you or him - that's the best I can come up with for now.

Yep, what a catch......barf

For goodness sake!!!

Is that your worth?

To be some ego's squeeze?

Kick the dog to the curb.

You ARE so much more than that.

Try remebering sometime real soon, that a person's worth is measured by their actions, and NOT there paycheck or employment.

uh oh ummmm okay

lemme think.... you dated, then were relegated to friends with benefits so sleeping together was okay just not the relationship part, then you didn't have that either ....

...now what? you are looking 'adequate' again?

Sweetheart, you are worth so much more than that!

A catch? ... no help confused

Most of the time the seconds are not as god as you think they would be , it might be cool for the begining but later on you would realize that that is not what you expected it to be .
It is my 2 cn, but I think you know already what to do. Good luck!

Whatever you do, make your decision final because flip-flopping between relationships is an unhealthy way to go. You could lose your friend perminantly or you could end up losing both, matters of the heart are fickle that way.

There are so many other "catches" out there, I think you know the answer that will make you happy. If you would feel guilty, your heart has already made the decision, IMHO.

...And a woman's intuition is an incredibly bad thing to ignore.

Heck, I would think that you are a catch, too. I think that you could use a little self-esteem burst. It seems like you have put him above you. I think that a couple would want to be on an equal standing ground where both thought of each other as a great catch.wave
