well ... my thought on this one would be ........ if someone feels insecure about how do they look like or have age issue on a subconscious level ( it happens with some people)

I have no reason to lie about my age or anything else for that matter. My age doesn't bother me, I've done very well considering the mileage. I don't personally see any benefit for knocking a few years off - the downside is that you've misrepresented yourself. I don't doubt that some do lie about their age - and likely other things too.
I would wonder what else they have lied to me about.

I have a horrible time at lying, so Im honest. Most guys I date are aot younger cause they think I am so I tell them before so then its up to them.
But when age doesnt come up right away and then they ask I tell but I get age doesnt matter, it who you are not how old you are.

Talking about your age to me is like talking about your income..I dont discuss it...

I am old enough to know better and young and foolish enough to do it again!
Or i am 28 with 5 years experience!
But to lie about my age has never occurred to me cause eventually the truth will come out and then you look like a fool.
And i don't think that i look to bad for 33 that i have to lie about that unless i myself would think i look older than i am and add a couple of years not to look old for my age

I'm 55 and proud of it. Why lie when it will only come back to bite you? I have honestly earned every wrinkle and everyline. People always think i am younger anyway.
Only true to the people that lie, hmmm one wonders if they have a little white lie on age, what else do they see it OK to lie about.

The difference between the number of women claiming to be 29 and the average frequency of women claiming to be between the ages of 30 and 34 is nearly eight times larger than could be expected by chance. The difference between the number of women claiming to be 35 and the average frequency of women claiming to be between the ages of 36 and 43 is more than five times larger than could be expected by chance.
Personally lying seems counterproductive to me. Attraction is more important than age (within reasonable limits) anyway right?
