That's b/c I grew up in "poverty." I know how hard it is not being able to give your family what they wanted. I know some families can't just "go get a job". Some families have a job and still can't provide. The cards don't always fall in royal flushes. I've bettered myself and I still watch the rest of my family struggle. Maybe it's their own fault for not getting the best education they could. My grandparents lost their 1.5million dollar retirement because of Enron. My other grandparents live on a small SSI check every month and barely afford their medicine. Hmm, I forgot where I was going with this. Damn this ADD.

It has been a while back but during a congressional meeting it was entered into a voting process for a pay raise for congress. One person during the broadcast at the congressional meeting asked the public watching if they just saw what happened. Congress had just gave itself a pay raise and the vote was almost unaminous. I thought when watching it wow the ability to give yourself a pay raise by just voting on it.
