Well put. Not quite sure what purpose lies will serve if you ever actually plan on meeting someone, but it sounds like the lies are alive and well out there!! I keep hearing this over and over from guys and gals alike!

I hear ya. Just this weekend, a girlfriend told me she met a guy from another site and she walked in to the bar they were meeting at. She took one look at him after he approached her, told him to update his profile and walked out!
She survived the trauma of it all and was off on another date the next night!!!

I agree with pretty much everything that's been posted in these threads so far. I think we've all had at least one encounter with someone who lied about something. My thoughts are - as I believe was already stated - what do you stand to gain from meeting someone who thinks you're someone else altogether? I met up with a guy who had a picture up from when he was 20 (who is now 35). I had asked him at some point if that was a recent pic, and he lied about without hesitation. I just figured he looked young for his age . LOL. The thing is, when I met him, he actually looked better than his pic - more mature. But, I can't be with someone who lies, for better or worse. I think that goes for most people.

Personally, think that ALOT of people think they are on here to get dates and meet people and possibily find the right one, but all in all they are really just here to mess around and screw with people's heads.
Their profiles are the biggest lies ever put forth - why - because they can do it and no one would really know the difference unless they met them.
I think that if you are truly here for the purpose of finding a partner that matches you - telling the truth is the only way to go - and when you find the liar - you find the truth!!!!

Don't say your 5' 6" if thats what you are when wearing 4" heals. Don't say your average weight if over 30 pounds over weight, if all else fails here ask a doctor. And average weight means to your frame not the average population lol. If you have children, say yes lol. If you smoke often as in 3 or more times a week be honest with your smoking. Same applies to your drinking.
You have to think, your profile is the way others will get to know you.
Do you want them to know you as a person that can not tell the truth, can not be trusted.
First be completely honest about all. Now there may be questions your not comfortable answering and would leave to a dating situation. The basics if you cant answer and without lying then really how do you expect to find a match.
People will lie about age, weight, and if they have children or not. Ahh they should love me, no matter what. Hmmmm wake up. Then others will lie about interests and what they are looking for, Hmmm hard to find a match then, if they want some one with at least some interests they have. Then again some people just don't read the profiles or walk around with blinders on. And see and hear only what they want. Just forget them and go on to something real.
Prefer not to say either means yes or you agree with it, your only fooling yourself.
