Yes it can be a slow process, searching through all the profiles looking for that picture or profile to stand out, waiting for the perfect person to contact you, or even on the forums seeing if someones personality stands out for you. All this depends if that person that 'shines' also thinks you 'shine' too.
It can also take quite a few trys of meeting and kissing frogs to meet your prince charming, but when it happens it will be well worth the wait.
And as we can see from various couples on the forums (including myself) it does happen. soo everyone be patient and wait for your prince/princess charming!!

Well.according to my opinion, getting out there and meeting people through maybe friends' circle helps more than online forums. Unless there are some serious people who would like meet ups ocassionally from online forums, you cant be assured that you'll find your match here. If your not particular about finding someone, and you think, 'if I find, its good, otherwise its also good.' Then, online forums are ok for you. This is just my personal opinion.
I am into some 15 online forums. But I'm not looking for long term relationship or marriage so I just hang out. I should say I have more online friends than real life ones ;)
One more observation I have is: people under the age of 30: mostly guys send out flowers and mails to girls. After 30: perhaps even girls send out mails and flowers to guys. hehe.
