My car was written off by a drunk driver last night. He took off, so I hope the police catch up with him today and throw the book at him. I'm now carless, and I live 15 minutes from anywhere. Thanks a lot mate!very mad

I wasn't in the car, it was parked. But you are right, I can at least be thankful I wasn't in it. I was heading out to leave when the bouncer from next door came in looking for the owner of the car. 5 minutes later and I may have been in it.

I have walked out from the pub before to my car windows being smashed in and my ignition stuffed as had been knifed... all under the watchful eye of the so called town security camera's. I rang up the police and the security firm to be told they couldnt do anything about it as no one monitors the footage at that time in the morning... I GIVE UP!!!! It was a long weekend so was carless for a few days and yes it was a pain, but my mates helped me out.
So know what you are going through!!!
help dunno

Possibly he saved yourself from being done for drink driving though. How many cops do you have on Phillip Island.

Cute that sounds suss to me. That sounds more like the cameras are there for show than actually doing anything.

As those Camera's aren't supposed to be manned. But Should the Police need that resource they can claim those tapes and check back on the Data.

I ts sounds like someone either didn't do there job or the Police were too lazy to do their job. Or it is the original that the Camera's are there for show only.

And I thought Mt Manganui was a nice place.

What do we learn from this. Well using a Plastic Card doesn't save you money.

He only saved me from getting done for drink driving if you can get done drinking 1 glass of Diet Coke! As for getting sorted its going to take a while. He still hasn't been caught, which means that the police report has not yet been sent to the insurance agency.

Thanks to all that have expressed their sympathies.
