Yea. it was a probation violation however it is still only a misdemenor offense. Non-Violent misdemenor offenders are never put in jail and if they are, they only serve 10% of their sentence. These are not my words. They are words of Sheriff Baca.
Baca, who indicated that Hilton was suffering from a psychological illness, added: “The only thing that I can detect is special treatment is the amount of her sentence, because under our ten percent early release program she would not have served any time in our jail or would have been directly put on a home electric monitoring system. So the special treatment, in a sense, appears to be her celebrity status -- she got more time in jail.”
What is a Probation Violation? When a California criminal defendant is serving probation, there are rules that must be followed. If any of these rules are broken during the probationary period, a probation violation occurs, which could result in the following consequences:
Revocation of Probation
Jail time
Staying out of trouble is mandatory during probation. When the defendant commits new crimes during the probationary period, a probation violation may occur. Regardless of whether criminal charges are present, when the defendant is arrested during the probationary period, a probation violation may occur.
Probation is often part of a criminal defendant’s California sentence. When probation is given, the individual is allowed to remain a member of the community after jail time (if any) has been successfully completed.
The California criminal defendant’s sentence may include any or all of the following:
Community service Counseling Physical labor Drug testing Jail time Length of Probation
Normally, probation (formal and informal) lasts three years, but this could vary depending on the defendant’s circumstances.
Probation is no joking matter and should be taken seriously.
The penalties for a probation violation depend on the severity of the violation. In some cases, a second chance may be given and the probation violation will not affect the terms or conditions of the probation.
As soon as a probation violation occurs, an arrest may follow shortly thereafter and/or the defendant may be ordered to court for a probation violation hearing.
During the court hearing, the Prosecutor must prove the violation by more than 50% of the evidence, as opposed to ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ which is necessary for a criminal trial.
Ok but according to Baca, she would have been placed on electronic monitoring due to jail over-population which is the reason for their 10% jail time program to begin with.
poor little rich girl: she should go back to jail if that was one of us we wouldn't be let out in the first place. i don't feel one bit sorry for her. those rich kids think they can get away with everything. :crying there are more things to worry about in this world then Paris Hilton
I dont know. i know a few people who have done worse things than Paris, Violated probation and were still free to walk the streets even after things like felony cocaine charges.
I don't know what was on her lip, I could not make it out well enough to comment. And those mug shots are not very real looking. By the way, I had to check out the beach bodes. Thank you very much for corrupting my mind.
"Paris Hilton suffers from extreme Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and claustrophobia, and these conditions may have triggered the Sheriff's decision to spring her from Lynwood Jail last week.
We're told Hilton is taking Adderall for her ADD. Although our sources were not specific, we're told Hilton was not receiving all of her medications at Lynwood. As a result, Hilton was having severe panic attacks in jail. There were times she was so debilitated, she could not push the panic button in her cell."

ADD or not , she has to suck it up and take it ... She did not have ADD when driving too fast did she? It takes alot of concentration just to drive!! I dont dislike her but I dont care for her, in my book she will be all right during and after jail....
