The wheel....Without a doubt. Everything from clocks to cars..WE wouldnt have cars nor gears for a clock. We wouldn't even have a cheese WHEEL.

I do agree with the wheel and self awareness, but also up there would be Math. Without math we would be limited to what we could do, and thuis all other inventions would have not advanced as they have.
